Amy's Place so I discovered is a youth drop-in center in Bellingham off of N State Street. The vision statement on the flyer says " A safe & friendly place for youth who are struggling or living on the street." Wow, when I read that it broke my heart to think of the youth that need this ministry, and felt God tugging on my heart that this ministry needed my support. So I write to encourage you that to take time to look at this website, and pray about a simple way you could give or show support of this valuable ministry to much needed youth in Bellingham, and Joel & are are pledging to do the same.
Tonight I looked at their website, and would encourage you to do the same. They list a number of specific and practical ways you or I could help.

A trip to Starbucks
I went to my favorite place today on my lunch break, yep it was Starbucks. The Starbucks I went to is in Haagens. As I approached it there was a man sitting at a table set-up with some stuff set up advertising some sort of local thing looking for support. I really wasn't so sure, and to be honest I was to trying to not look at him so I could just go in and get my coffee. He offered me a flyer, and I took it. I went in ordered my grande iced decaf americano and then began looking at the flyer. It was for a local ministry called "Amy's Place...for youth". Funny huh? Anyways, I'm thankful for to this man for handing me the flyer. I was God inspired because of it.
I was inspired to blog, not about myself, but to you (whoever you are) to encourage you to Open our Eyes to the world around you, more specifically to make you and I aware of ministries or needs in our community that need our prayer, money and practical items or acts.
